Message from the President Catherine Williamson-Hardy
Welcome to the Durham Alumnae Chapter (DAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. As President of DAC, I am pleased to share a glimpse of who we are and the work we continue to carry forward in the Durham community.
Since our chartering in 1941 by a visionary group of women, the Durham Alumnae Chapter has remained committed to sisterhood, scholarship and service. Today, we are a thriving sisterhood of over 500 college-educated women, united in purpose and working collectively to create meaningful and lasting impact across the community.
As we enter a new biennium, our work is guided by a clear focusāstrengthening our sisterhood and advancing purposeful service.
Our efforts remain grounded in the Five-Point Programmatic Thrust of our illustrious Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated:
- Educational Development
- Economic Development
- International Awareness and Involvement
- Political Awareness
- Physical and Mental Health
We are proud of our legacy and remain dedicated to creating opportunities that promote positive social, educational, and economic change.
If you are a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and seeking a chapter home, we invite you to connect with us and learn more about our work. We also encourage you to explore our website to stay informed about our programs and community initiatives.
