2026 Scholarship Application
The Durham Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is committed to assisting young people attending schools within the Durham Public School System to succeed academically. We do this by awarding scholarships to qualified high school seniors. It is important to ensure that students with financial hardships have access to resources they need to obtain a college education.
Scholarships are available to high school seniors who attend schools within the Durham Public School System in Durham County. To be eligible to receive an award, applicants must have a 2.5 grade point average. Additionally, applicants should be active in extracurricular and community service activities.
Applicants must include the following items as part of their submission:
* Completed Application (Must submit electronically)
* Official Transcript (Must submit electronically via online records request to scholarship@durhamdst.org or emailed by school counselor)
* Copy of the Letter of Acceptance from college/ university or statement
* A one-page essay emphasizing your academic goals, specific financial needs and how receiving this scholarship might contribute to your achievements.
* A current photo
* School Faculty Letter of Recommendation
On February 02, 2026, you will be able to access and submit the scholarship application using a link on this website. When submitting online, all supporting documentation will need to be uploaded and submitted along with the application. Additionally, you will receive an email confirmation that your application has been received online. If you'd like to mail your application, the application can be downloaded here, or you can obtain a copy from your counselor. As noted above, the official transcript should be provided by your counselor. All applications and supporting documentation should be submitted online by April 03, 2026.
